I went to the Spanish Fork Rodeo with my friend Allison. It was so much fun! The first thing that we got to see was these two guys jump out of a plain and come and land right in the middle of the arena. The first guy had a can of smoke that he let go and made all kinds of circles and different designs. There was wind so we all thought that they were going to miss the arena but they both made it safely.
Then we all got to pay respect to Old Glory......
These are some of the many pictures I took.
I think the best part was the Wild Child..... he puts on this act that he doesn't know how to ride a motorcycle...and he gets on it and rides it around the arena and jumps a truck and trailer. It was FUN.........................
After were we were finished at the zoo we then went to the Fort Douglas Museum. We got to see a lot of cool old guns and uniforms. I really liked all of the guns and amo that they had to look at. I think it was also cool that they had a section of the museum of the capture of Sadam Husan. They actually have the boots and the coat that he was wearing the day that he was captured. Outside of the museum there were a lot of old tanks and air crafts. I can not believe how big they are! It was a good museum.
The Zoo was so much Fun! I have not been there for about 10 years. I got to go with on of my best friends, Erika, and her sister, Bonnie, and her husband, Caral. I would have to say that you should never use Map Quest! That is were we got our directions off of and lets just say that we got lost. I would also have to say that there are some really CRAZY people that live in the Salt Lake area. We were having a wonderful drive to the zoo when to old guys drove up next to us. The passenger was flexing his muscle, well what muscle he did have, at us. We told Caral that they were looking at him because they were gay. Then the driver was like staring us down when they passed us..... CRAZY!
I would have to say that the coolest thing about the zoo was the bird show. I have never had so many diffrent types of birds fly so close to my head before. When one of them flew over head I oould feel the rope that was around his legs. I am so glad that no one stood up....they would have lost there heads! The other cool part was the built in cool down stations that were threw out the whole park. It was fun.
Well as of today I recived my acceptance letter to attend UVU as a freshman for the 2008-2009 school year! I can't wait. I really am so excited because I was not going to go to college for a while. I thought that I really didn't need to go but now that I am I just can't wait to start!
I am going tobegin with my generals. I hope that I can get good grades so I can be accepted into medical school. I hope that some day I can become a surgical tech. or maybe even a doctor. I just can't wait!!
Wow I never thought I would have so much fun in my life! I got to go with one of my best friends up to Camp Koholowo for a Young Single Adults camp out. Wow that is kind of crazy to think that I am a Young Single Adult.....I mean the young...kind of, the single......most definitely, but the adult part......I don't know about yet. I know that this camp was one of the best I have had up to koholowo (except the year I got to go with Santaquin 1st ward and I could not get up on the bar!). We went up knowing that there were going to be many RM's so Allison and I made out the whole time with these two guys! It was great............................JUST KIDDING no kissing was involved. We went up there and had a nice drive to the top of the mountain.
When we got to the camp we went and put all of our stuff in the cabin of our choice (on the girls side). We then went to dinner were we had chicken the size of your head, rice, and grilled pineapple. It was a Hawaiiantheme. After dinner was over we played apples to apples with a group of YSA. There were about 15 of us smashed at this little table playing the worlds funnest game. When dinner was over they had these dancers come and show all of us how to dance diff rent dances from their culture. I would have to say that for a YSA camp out there was some butte shaking that I thought was way to much, but in all it was fun. After the dancing thing was over Allison, Jared, and I wanted to hike up to a spot called Look Out Point. I have been up there quite a few times but I never have sat on the rock out there because I am so afraid of heights, But this time was diff rent. I told my self that I am a young single adult now and it was time that I stated to acting like one. I went out on the rock and I could not believe the view. Allison and I sat there for the longest time taking pictures of us because she wanted one of us both smiling but I had other ideas.
I was so proud of myself deciding to stop acting so childish.......that we all decided to go snip hunting. I have never been snip hunting but that was a time I will never forget....snips are the ugliest things in the world. I swear if you saw one it would give you night mares for a week. We only caught one.....But me being the YSA and all had no night mares that night. When we let the snipe go and returned to camp Allison and I thought we would go up the the cabin in which 3 boys were staying......don't worry like I said there was no kissing! We sat and talked for hours! The stake leader came in and told us that we should not be there and that we should go back to our cabins, But I am a YSA now so we went and for these other friends of ours and we talked until 2 in the morning. When we got to the cabin we sat up and talked for another hour putting us to sleep around three in the morning with breakfast being served at 8:30 this morning. Well needless to say we were woken up by and nice gentle man and he told us that breakfast was ready. We thought it was 8:30 in the morning and that we were running late. When we checked the clock and it said 7:40 me being the rebel that I had became over night (LOL) decide to sleep until the real breakfast time. They weren't going to gip me of another 15 minutes of sleep. We had a great devotional and a wonderful breakfast.
Coming down the mountain we stop ed to go bull shouting. That is were you pull up next to a bull and you scream as loud as you can to see what the bull would do. Well there was a BIG black bull and we scram at that bull..... I think I almost gave it a heart attack because it was not a happy bull. I am so glad that Allison York is the best driver ever or i think I would be dead because that bull was charging for me inside the car and I saw my whole life flash before my eyes.
Now I am home...................Luckily! plus I am a YSA now!
Today was the Opening day of the Orem Owlz baseball season. We thought it would be cool if the whole family got to together and went to the game as one big family. We had Grandmas, Aunts, Cousins, friends, Nieces, and Nephews. It was so fun. The best part about the whole day was all of the complaments I got on the shirt I was warring. It was my "I hate NY Mets" shirt
This is the coolest shirt ever. A lot of people would come up to me and ask where I bougth it from but I had to tell them that I made the shirt. I topped of the outfit with a New York Yankees hat.
All of the Owlz players did really good in this game here are some of my snap shots.
Sydnee is my Uncal John's baby. I think she looks just like me. She is the youngest so of course she gets what she wants. She is a very big help when it comes to taking care of the youger ones she is always willing to hold the baby even if you really don't want her to.
My other favorite part was that I got to be with my family! It was Alanas first baseball game so we had to go up to Hootz and get her picture taken with him.
Caleb loves baseball. He is the funnest kid to take. He is only 1 1/2 years old and he loves to set and watch the game, although he has a very short attention span.
Of course with all of the younger kids we had to make a few trips up to the play ground.
At the bottom of the 13 inning so second inning of over time the power went out and so they got to light all of the fireworks early. The best part of the fireworks was we all thougth Alana would hate them but she fell in love with all of the colors.
The Fireworks lasted for a short amount of time but they when very colorful!
When they finally got the light in the stadium to come back on again tha Orem Owlz still had a chance at bat. They got the bases loaded and won the game with a grand slam. We never expected the game to go so long. We got home around 12am and thankfully all of the younger kids were asleep.
A little about me is that I love to play sports! I love to play many games with friends and family. I am 19 years old and I graduated in May of 2008 from Payson High School. I love to blog!
